2. Types of Data Collected and Purpose of Processing

We collect and process personal data exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Contact Requests: If you use the contact forms on the website, we collect the data entered (e.g., Name, Last Name, Email) solely to respond to your inquiries.
  • Order Management and E-commerce (WooCommerce): If you purchase digital works, prints, books, or booklets, we collect your billing and shipping information (Name, Last Name, Billing Address, eventual Delivery Address, Tax Code/VAT number where applicable, Email, and Phone Number). Processing this data is necessary to execute the sales contract, deliver digital files via email/download, and ship physical products.
  • Fraud Prevention and Download Security: When purchasing and downloading digital works, the system may log the customer’s IP address and the date/time of the download. This is done to ensure IT security and to verify the successful delivery of the purchased digital file.
  • Legal Obligations: We process your billing data to comply with administrative, fiscal, and accounting obligations required by Italian law.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

The processing of your data is based on:

  • The user’s consent (for sending messages via contact forms).
  • The performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (for managing purchases on the website).
  • Compliance with a legal obligation (fiscal and accounting obligations).

4. Data Disclosure to Third Parties (Data Processors)

Your data is never sold or rented to third parties for marketing purposes. However, for the proper functioning of the e-commerce store, data is shared with essential technical providers:

  • Payment Processing (Mollie): Payments are processed through the Mollie platform. Your credit card or bank account details do not pass through and are not stored on our website; they are securely managed directly by Mollie B.V. for the sole purpose of completing the financial transaction.
  • Shipping Services: For physical products (e.g., WhiteWall prints, books, booklets), shipping data will be shared with the printing laboratories or the couriers in charge of delivery.
  • Tax Consulting: Invoice and receipt data are shared with the Data Controller’s tax consultant/accountant for legal compliance.

5. Data Retention Period

  • Data related to contact forms is kept for the time strictly necessary to process your request.
  • Data related to WooCommerce orders and billing is kept for the minimum mandatory period required by Italian fiscal and civil regulations (generally 10 years).

6. Cookies and Tracking

This website uses technical cookies necessary for the correct operation of the e-commerce store (e.g., keeping products in the shopping cart during navigation) and for the optimization of the Blocksy theme.

  • If you visit the login page, a temporary cookie will be set to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
  • Currently, no profiling systems or invasive third-party tracking pixels (such as social media ad tracking pixels) are used.

Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website, which may collect data about you, use cookies, or monitor your interaction with that embedded content.

At any time, pursuant to Articles 15-22 of the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data and receive a copy of it.
  • Request the correction or erasure of your data (provided it does not conflict with legal tax retention obligations).
  • Request the restriction of processing or object to the processing.
